Franny & Bessie Glass
As a nutritionist, Bessie Glass is disappointed by most energy bars. Although they contain protein, most popular brands are loaded with saturated fat and refined sugar but low on fiber and nutrients. When her kids Seymour, Franny and Zoey were younger, Bessie make them homemade granola bars.
Franny discovered that she was sensitive to gluten soon after starting college. Macaroni and Ramen noodles were out and it was also hard to fit in healthy snacks. She tried a few nutrition bars but they tasted "unpleasant".
Franny got nostalgic about her mother’s homemade granola so she convinced Bessie to make it for her again. They had enormous fun trying ingredient combinations and came up with a variety of delicious, and healthy recipes. Their family and friends loved them especially grandma Glass who said “These are great girls, you should sell them!”. Franny and Bessie agreed. They started Glory Bar in 2010.
Our Philosophy
At Glory Bar we believe that health and fitness goals are NOT one size fits all and nutritious food options shouldn't be either. We maintain that everyone has the potential to transform their health and achieve their personal glory, starting with small positive choices each day.
All of our bars offer balanced nutrition with a mix of carbohydrates, protein antioxidants and fiber. Best of all, we offer you the chance to build your own bar to your specific taste.
We source our ingredients from Canadian suppliers wherever possible and purchase imported ingredients fair trade. We believe in sustainable and ecologically sound practices and employ many energy saving strategies in making your bars.
